SUMMER!!!! School is out now what

Summer is most people's favorite time of the year. Kids are out of school, the days are longer, there ae BBQ's and family fun. This is also the time for unforgettable family vacations! Many people believe that you have to travel somewhere far away to have a great vacation but I learned growing up that a vacation can be as simple as just exploring your own city and doing things that you normally doing do. A trip to a close by city or even driving around your own state visting places that you have never been is an adventure. So here are a few great summer vacation tips!

1) Visit a statepark.   All states have some sort of statepark where you can take a picnic lunch and some hiking and exploring. This is a great time to leave the phones at home and just have some great family time and most stateparks doesn't get cell service. Also make sure to watch out for snakes.

2) Visit a local theme park. Growing up I lived about an hour from Branson Missouri and Silver Dollar City but some of my favorite memoires was going to Six Flag or Worlds of Fun as it was something different

3) Visit a Zoo in a different town. We had a small zoo that I thought was the best zoo ever but it didn't have as many animals as going to the St. Louis Zoo. The St Louis Zoo was so much larger and had so much more so even though our local zoo was great it was fun to travel to other zoos to experience things that ours didn't have.

4) Make your own adventure. I plan everything in detail when I go on a trip. But some of the best trips I have had, I went with the flow. If there was a mill I wanted to take photos of or the Worlds largest prairie dog, we would just stop explore!

I hope that this hints and tips help for you to have an amazing and unforgettable family vacation
