Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

This year marks the 20th anniversary of one of Disney’s springtime must do’s, Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival. Every year millions of people from all over the world come to experience the wonders of the horticulture team at Disney.   For the 20th anniversary, Disney has added a little extra to this festival by adding booths in many of the countries of the world showcase that offer foods made from different plants, fruits and vegetables.
Let’s start our journey. The first stop everyone should make is the Festival Center. Located in the gold roofed building just right of the Universe of Energy, this is a great place to get the layout of the festival. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, you can find some of your favorite HDTV stars with meet and greats, and demonstrations.

Throughout the rest of the week this is a great place to look at some of the limited edition festival merchandise.  Here you can also pick up your garden passport. This little book is a great keepsake. You get a stamp at all the gardens and food booths. There will be workers in all the listed locations that will assist you in getting your stamps and if you don’t want to dine at a specific booth, you can just go to the cashier and there are more than happy to stamp your book.

Once you have looked at the festival map, just start having fun. With children this festival is always a blast.  Radiator Springs is located by Test Track and has lots of fun offering. Not only can you find Mater and Lightening but you can become a detective and there is a play area for little ones to run off some energy.

But don’t worry, there is a small setting area for the adults and those with older children might like to move down to the HGTV Garden Retreat. They have some wonder seats so while the kids play, put your feet up and enjoy the sun and some relaxation.  Another fun stop for kids is the Pride Rock Fun Spot. Located just right of the Lion Kind display, here children can design their own African masks. After some design fun, make sure to head to the Tinker Bell’s Butterfly House.
Located just behind the fun spot, you will see Tink and all her friends as well as some beautiful butterflies and flowers.  The last major garden is the Land carnival type games, great photo opportunities and another great themed play area.  Because most of the large gardens are located in the Future World area of the park, there are two small gardens in world showcase. A Tea Garden in the UK and a Backyard Play Garden located between France and Morocco.

After all the playing and fun, everyone is going to start getting hungry so make sure to stop by one of the festival booths and get a gift card. This will make things much easier as you can put a set amount on the card, place it on your wrist and just swipe it at all booth locations.  Below are the booths listed in order starting right (Canada) and ending on the left (Mexico) of World showcase.
